Severe diarrhea 3 weeks out

For the past 4 days I've had constant diarrhea, along with feeling like I have to urinate every 2 15 minutes, but nothing coming out when I do try to pee. I feel awful and like I can't leave the house. I stopped eating any dairy and it still persists. I'm up until 5 or 6 every morning on and off the toilet. I'm MISERABLE. I couldn't get an appointment until Thursday (5 days away) and was wondering if anyone has had an experience like this and what may have helped. Thanks

I'm sorry this is happening to you. You don't deserve it. Keep your appointment. Even if things resolve before then, chat with your medical team about what to do if this happens again. In the meantime, have you considered Imodium? That's temporary but could help things. Good luck!

I am so sorry you are feeling so awful, what a drag. Some of your symptoms are on the list of things my program advised seeing a medical professional for if they arose - have you thought about going to urgent care or your PCP? UTIs, if you have one, can be tested for there and should be swiftly treated - as can dehydration. Best of luck, I’m sending good thoughts your way!
