Better Together

When I started this process in April my mom and I were both going to get the surgery together but she found out that her insurance doesn't cover it. I am getting the Sleeve next month (no date yet) and I am super excited! I wish I had someone doing it with me though. I have enjoyed this website and seeing before and after pictures has been super motivating! I keep hearing that it is good to have a support system during this time. I have been telling my good friends so that they can support me but nobody really understands or knows what I will be going through after surgery. I want to be able to talk about everything and show the progress. Maybe a Blog is a good idea. I am not sure. I just get lost on this because there are so many forums and folders and people. I just really want friends who know what I am going through.

I'm sorry you're getting lost in all this! I haven't been outside of this board (the Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums) for the most part, personally. Once you're on here for a little while you start to recognize people. Are there any support groups you can attend through your surgeons office?

I haven't looked into that yet!
