Turned a corner

Today, for the first time since surgery, I woke up wanting something. For the last few days I’ve had to force down the water, protein and broth but today I look forward to it. I took a few sips and no pain from my new stomach. I want to gulp it all down but will not, I will just keep sipping for Now.

[emoji1374] Thank God I finally can drink fluids again without pain [emoji1374]

Have a great day!

Glad you are able to get your liquids in. I guess I am the complete oppisite. I am concerned that liquids are going down too easily. I can drink 11 oz of a premier protein shake within 30 minutes and do not have any issues. I will just need to make sure I don't over do it. My stomach makes a little noise but I don't have any pain or vomiting and I don't feel full.

I can drink fluids or protein just fine, even a decent amount at a time. But I just fine myself not wanting anything at all. Like I'd be happier completely not eating or drinking period.

Though I do constantly find myself craving eggs and pistachios oddly...

@GRITS77 Mine feels like it is shocked when fluids hit it, it seizes up for a second then it goes in. I get the same feeling when (I think) I’m hungry, so it is confusing. That is great that you are able to get all of your fluids in, I look forward to that.

[mention=321206]Mhy12784[/mention] I didn’t want anything either until today. This is the first day that I actually wanted my water, broth & protein. I don’t know why mine will still only allow tiny sips at a time [emoji848]

Have a great day!

I honestly don't know yet. I have my surgery a little over 3 wks ago and I'm still hungry but I'm being told that it will get better when I start eating real food again and not just liquids. I have noticed though if you drink lots of water and make sure if you can to drink all the protein shakes your allowed.. it does help some with the hunger I've noticed.
