Building muscle after surgery

I am still exploring the idea of getting sleeved but as of right now it looks like my surgery will be March. I’m excited but also very nervous. I am just looking for any advice people have about exercise and building muscle after surgery. Is it easy to rebuild muscles? How long after surgery can you start working out again?

Thank you for the help!

I started in the gym as soon as my Doc gave me the green light. It was like 6 weeks out, I started off slow and now I do 2 1/2 hours a day at the gym.

My doc gave me the green light to work out at 2 weeks, but said to build up slowly, and "core work is going to hurt" but won't damage anything.

I really want to start, but with work and kids and house etc, I am still pretty tired with life in general. I will be 3-weeks-post-op tomorrow.
