Two days pre-op

Hello everyone. First day here. Having sleeve done on Tuesday. 12 days so far of the shakes and low glycemic veggies. Getting hard! Anyone have suggestions? Anyone have suggestions for early post-op?

Congrats on doing the pre-op diet. I eventually got to the point where I did JUST shakes. The vegetables were wearing me out and so were the 4 ounces of meat. One thing I did do for the meat part of it, when my husband would go out to get food for him and the kids, I had them get me two plain hamburgers from McDonalds, Wendys, wherever, to have at least that. Took them off the buns and scrapped off whatever toppings and that made it a little better. I just cut them up in small pieces and tried the timer to eat them slowly. At least that way, felt like I was eating with the family, and it had a familiar taste. I wound up loosing about 16 pounds I think doing the pre diet.

Thanks everyone for sharing. I am on my last day pre-op and am both excited and nervous/frightened. Had difficulty sleeping last few nights. Trying to stay hydrated today as surgeon said hydrating really well last couple days pre-op is so important.

Also spending time trying to learn how to navigate in this app while reading posts from others. ?

Tried to get on live chat but had an error. Anyone else experiencing this?

My surgery is on wednesday. I am jealous, my Dr allows liquid only diet 2 weeks pre-op. no veggies, no meat. I have been obsessing cuz a couple of times I had a little tuna. just dying to chew something. I am not a "sweets" person and all of the protien shakes are sweet. trying to hang on for the next 48 hours is tough. tomorrow I loose the shakes also

Hello Tripsplus [emoji4]. Wishing you well and a speedy recovery. I was allowed 3 shakes and a little low glycemic veggies. You are nearly there! WE are nearly there [emoji4]

There are fruit based protein drinks available that are thinner and not milk based

My surgeon recommended upping my fluid intake when the going gets tough. I am on day one of the pre op diet.
