Not losing!! What am I doing wrong

Hi all. I'm new to this and don't even know if I'm posting to the right place. I was sleeved on 9/11 and lost 18lbs in the first week. I haven't lost but an additional 2lbs since then. I talked with my surgeon recently and he didn't seem concerned, he just said I needed to go by how I feel and not by what the scale says...well I feel frustrated and like I wasted a lot of time and money and put my body through some severe pain for 20lbs!! HELP!!

So post what you are eating and drinking in one day.

We need a lot more info!

Are you logging your food daily? If so what are you eating?

I just joined today but I drink lots of water daily. Premier protein shake every morning and nothing but veggies the rest of the day. I eat until satisfied which is not much and then an hour later I'm hungry again. When I had my sleeve surgery I also had my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia repaired...i ended up with an umbilical hernia and had that repaired on 10/19. I have not been able to exercise, I'm not able to lift anything heavier than 5 pounds and since this second surgery just took place I won't be released for physical activity for 4 more weeks. I'm not imagining the fact that the scale is not moving but I'm thinking that maybe I have unrealistic expectations on how this was going to be. Idk. I feel more confused. I've read that a stall is normal but I've been stalled for a while. My husband says I'm too critical and that he can see the weight coming off but the scale is not moving.

Hi there. Are you actually weighing and logging your food? If you are having only one protein shake a day and eating only veg after that you are likely not hitting your protein requirements which can cause stalls. I would recommend you log your food precisely for 3 days and see what is actually happening with your calories and protein.

@texashoneybear

How’s it going ?

How much protein is usually required per day.
