Pain

It's been 4+ weeks and I still have a lot of positional pain when I stand up or sit down. I have returned to work but the pain makes it difficult to get through the day. Last week I only made it to Wednesday half day then i have to leave because of the pain. I went to the ER. They believe it's only muscle pain and nothing to be concerned with. When will this pain end? Someone please help.

I am feeling the same way. I am almost three weeks post-op.I feel like the muscle underneath my left upper rib is sore and tender. It only started last week which is weird.

Hi. The biggest incision hurt for about 2 months. One day u will wake up and the pain will be less and get better from there. I would have to hold my stomach where that incision was when I got up and walked it felt like someone punched my gut. Everyone heals differently so hopefully u will feel better soon.

hello,

I am new here. I am 6 days post op from a gastric sleeve. I get intermittent pain on my right side which is my biggest incision. I am scared of a leak. I see my Dr on Wed for a follow up. I am wondering if it is gas pains because it is intermittent or if it is something I should be worried about. pain meds help. yesterday, I did a lot of walking (more then normal) and wondering if I irritated it. Thoughts?

That sounds normal to me as i was the same

my cousin had the same procedure 2 yrs ago and never was on a pain med when she came home. the only issues she had was taking her vitamins. but she was in better physical shape then me. my other family members that had it done sound like me. their advice is take pain meds as prescribed.

I took mine and i took Tylenol in between to keep pain managed
