Post op.

Hey guys.

I had my surgery 8 days ago (on the 4th). Now although its not physically possible to be hungry, I am mentally struggling alot. Especially since even when i am just drinking my stomach still feels very uncomfortable. Also, i am still on the “no-caffine” rule and i am DYING FOR COFFEE. When will i be able to drink coffee again?

I drink alot of juice, milk, soup and i eat mainly mashed potato for lunch, is that okay or am i drinking too much?

Your diet seems to be drastically different from mine so best speak with your surgeon but to give you an idea; i’m not allowed juice at all... milk and soup (not all of course) are fine at that point and coffee if allowed 4-5 days out if absolutely needed.

I’m only two days post op but I heard others say the restriction kicks in once you move to solids. So keep following your surgeon’s plan.

Oh and mashed potatoes are a big no on my plan at that stage; check with your doctor’s office.

Don't you have a NUT and a surgical team to give you guidelines?
