What Post-Sleeve Rules Do You Break?

  • Popular Post

For me it's the no carbonation rule. I have always loved seltzer and now all the flavored no-sweetener, no-sugar La Croix varieties are my go to treats. I don't understand why there's a no carbonation rule, and I've read in some places it's a huge no-no and in others that it doesn't matter. I will not go back to diet drinks, I never really liked them anyway. But that flavored seltzer is sometimes the only thing that keeps me at a good water intake for the day.

Good to know that I won’t have to give up caffeine!

My surgeon and nutritionist allow 8 oz of coffee or tea a day. I'm holding out for as long as I can before I got back to caffeine.

Before I lost weight my diet was pretty healthy, just too much food. There are a few things that are trigger foods for me for sure, so I don’t eat cookies or chips . Except the occasional cookie at work. I do eat pasta, and potato. I eat brown rice and other whole grains including English muffin. My carbohydrates are around 100 grams and proteins are 60 grams-80 grams and calories average 1200. I’m three years out and a consistent 100 calories down. After the first year vigilance is good, but it should be a life style at this point, not a diet.
I still

I drink wine 3-4 times per week.
