Since surgery, my breath has been kicking. My fiance can smell my breath from 5 feet away lol and I constantly have a strong taste in my mouth, like I just drank a protein shake! My morning breath is out of this world. It's making me self conscious! Anyone else have this issue or a solution?

use one of those breathRX tongue scrapers every morning. All those shakes leave a gross film on the tongue. I scrape off all this brown stuff every morning.

Ketosis also causes that breath ... also might have smelly urine

I brush my tongue and I can tell you that I have the same issue! I brushed my teeth constantly and I also have made Listerine stock go up a few points because I am constantly using it! I have found that is about the only thing that helped me. I am using it about 4-6 times a day. I am brushing my teeth more and using it constantly!

This is pretty common. My tongue felt so gross and I had awful breath until about 1 month after the surgery. A tongue scraper and listerine will definitely help

It has to do with your stomach being cut, nothing you do to your mouth will really help. My surgeon said brush teeth and use mouthwash often. Just use it several times a day. That "fragrance" will improve after your insides heal--give it a few weeks. I'm 11 months out and still drink a protein shake every day. Breath is much improved from that stage.

My husband thought the cat pooped on our bed and then we realized it was my breath. Awesome. I'm 6 weeks out and he says it's much better.
