VSG Post-Op Food - 3 Weeks Out

Hello everyone!

I wanted to check in with some of you veterans that have had VSG and ask for your help with food suggestions during the 6 week post-op phase. I am currently 3 weeks out form surgery and am following the diet recommendations from my doctor but there is no mention of any scrambled eggs in the first 6 weeks. Scrambled eggs have always been one of my protein staples that I tolerate very well. I really don't enjoy the sweet taste of most of the protein shakes and want to get on to eating "real" food sources for protein as soon as possible.

Do any of you have suggestions for good protein sources that come from real food that can be eaten between week 3-6?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have noticed there are very different diets restrictions too. I think I will try one scrambled egg to see if I have any issues. I am sticking to my diet closely but know i need to find some acceptable ways to get more protein. Thank you both for your feedback and good luck!

I was not allowed eggs till week 5.

i did decide to have one scrambled egg for the last two mornings and everything went down well. The protein seemed to stick with me until lunch. This new way of eating is taking some getting used to but I am still so happy I did the surgery!
