I had surgery two days ago and the only sign is the gas. I am sipping clear liquids and have no problem with it. I'm not hungry,not in pain, don't feel full, walking around and burping a lot. I thought I would be really full if I sipped on my liquids but not. Is this normal?

Burping was a sign of fullness for me . But you may not feel physically full as you are still healing, and i did not feel full till I was on solids.

Hey I'm so happy to hear you're not in pain, my surgery is in two days and I was wondering how the immediate post op will be. Could you tell me more ?

Well I hear everyone is different but when I came out of surgery I had some discomfort but no pain. They gave me medication for nausea and pain which could have been the reason. I did have a lot of gas pains in my shoulders, chest and back. I started walking around the hospital 5 hours after my surgery. After my walks I got pain meds and went to sleep. This pattern was for every three hours even in the middle of the night. My husband stayed with me and helped me in and out of bed and helped me use the bathroom. I did not really drink much in the hospital maybe an ounce before I left. Today I'm taking in much more. But I'm never hungry.
