I was told that it's completely normal to have loose/liquid stools on the liquid diet, since we're not putting anything solid in our system.

I have about six weeks until my sleeve. All of you are taking this is stride. I have an ileostomy, so it looks like I better stock up on bags. Maybe when you get to the pureed stage, things will get

I don't think loose and frequent BM on a liquid diet is a probable indicator of IBS. Sounds perfectly normal to me.

So I am on day 3 of my liquid diet. My surgeon said that I might need a stool softener for constipation, but I am having the other spectrum. It's loose and several times a day. Is this normal, or should I worry about IBS. I know that sounds crazy, but my surgeon said that if I have IBS that my trips to the bathroom after the surgery would be very frequent. I have never had a diagnosis, but have had issues with loose stools when I don't eat right. I am just a few days out and letting my mind play with me a little.
Thanks!
