Getting STUCK

So today is my first day of a soft food diet. I had my surgery one week ago and today have been adding small snacks in between shakes.

I had a 5 wheat this, making sure to chew thoroughly, but it doesn't quite feel right.

I have been warned of food getting stuck and I'm wondering..

How do you know if food is stuck and what to you do to get it unstuck?

  • Thank you very much. I was hesitant for crackers, but my doctor has approved them. I know now that it's much too early. Sipping water, walking, and belching seemed to make it go away.

Wow.. a week out and milk felt thick for me. Can't imagine eating crackers so soon. Sip liquids very, very slowly and that will help rinse it through.
