Uh Oh!

My VSG is scheduled for Sept 7th and I just found out I have 2 tears in my meniscus in my right knee. Has anyone else had to schedule a knee surgery before or after VSG? And if so, how long do I need to wait for surgery after VSG or can they do them at the same time?

oh no! I hope it won't cause a delay for you, I would hope it wouldn't. I think it will make getting back to exercising more difficult but hopefully it won't delay the surgery for you!!

@tahunte

YES

VSG after knee replacement

i was all set to have a knee replacement before VSG

told doc about my sleeve planned in December

he basically said something like "whoa, let's wait til after

you've lost some weight, smaller weight will help with

recuperation, doing exercises etc. . i had the sleeve about 6

months later after knee replacement. i had lost 63 lbs, before

VSG (my total loss was 105 lbs GOAL)

you probably want the VSG ASAP. is hard waiting to have knee

surgery - but doc was right - made sense to have sleeve first

GOD GRANT ME PATIENCE, Just Hurry ABOUT IT!!

ABOUT IT;)Good luck with VSG and knees

kathy

My friend had a total knee replacement and had to wait 6 months before having gastric bypass.
