How do you guys space out when to take Vitamins? I just started taking my vitamins this morning and after two I felt sick? I want to space them out so I don't have to feel that sick feeling.

The Celebrate chewable bariatric Vitamins I take, specify that they need to be spaced out at least two hours. I have to take them four times a day.

I have a schedule provided by my Dr. Basically taking things 2 hours apart.

Vitamins really shouldn't make you feel sick, if they do, try a different brand.

Are you taking them on an empty stomach? They really should be taken with food. Multivitamins contain the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Without food, these vitamins won't absorb properly because they need to be taken in the presence of fat molecules (read: food) for our bodies to derive any benefit from them.

I'm taking the liquid vitamins and it's been just fine! On regular Vitamins pre-operation they really upset my stomach whether I ate or not! So you might want to try the liquid vitamins! I bought mine on here and that's how I learned about these forums! Good. Luck

It's not that your body doesn't absorb multivitamins at all with food, but it can help certain Vitamins be absorbed at a higher rate. However, your body uses Iron more efficiently if you take it without food. Despite the benefits of taking Calcium carbonate with food, your body absorbs other forms of calcium better on an empty stomach. Similarly, vitamins A and E are both more readily available to your body if taken on an empty stomach. Multivitamins are a little strange to me to begin with, as most of the vitamins interfere with the absorption of other vitamins contained in the same pill. For example, Vitamin A shouldn't be taken with calcium or Vitamin E because they interfere with absorption, and Vitamin D can be taken with or without a meal, multiple times a day if you feel like it. . Anyways, most people spend months on essentially liquids alone, taking them with food is not always an option. I can't have food for 9 more days, fora total of 32 days of shakes. If I ate food with my vitamins I'd puke twice a day.. it may not be as simple as "have it with food"...occasionally my dog doesn't even take a vitamin if I wrap it in a ham slice...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
