Well I did it!

Hi everyone,

My surgery was June 27. Feeling pretty good but very head hungry. I'm still on liquids and doing okay except that I can't get all the protein in. My water intake is going strong.

I do have a question for you all. After the initial 4 weeks, when can I eat salads and peanuts? I'm craving peanuts and salad seem to be a quick option when on the run.

Any New Mexicans out there? Our chile is very different from what some are used to and green chile season is just around the corner. Will this be okay for me to eat?

Every doctors plan seems to be different. Were you given a eating plan from your doc/nut? I just started eating salad this week and I am almost 8 weeks post op. Most plans have all restrictions lifted by 8 weeks.

Raw vegatables seem to be a little harder to digest so I would ask your doc.

I am a native New Mexican and I've been dying for some green chile. I'm about 3 weeks post-op and I don't think I will be able to tolerate it for a few more months. I'm going to buy some and freeze it for when I'm closer to 6 months post-op.
