Still thinking

Hi. I'm nearly 49 and weight 200 or so lbs. I'm expecting to be self pay and have been looking into surgery at Harper Hospital in Detroit. It's a 5 hour drive away. Has any one used the Belite scheduling service that uses the a Detroit and Mexico location?

I'm worried that I won't see dramatic enough improvements to stay motivated.

Any advice?

If you are thinking of Harper, why not contact them directly? Or do you HAVE to use the Belite service? I always worry about middle men, will they pull up shop, or will they end an affiliation with one place and start one with someone else after you have already established a realationship with a surgeon, etc.

I can say that I am very glad I had the band placed, I cannot imagine having bypass surgery, and I know I needed some sort of help to lose the weight. Diets were not cutting it.

Belite is not getting good comments thru this forum. If they only get paid to schedule, who needs them once surgery has gone thru? The really important stuff has to do with the Bariatric Center at Harper. Right?
