Call Me Nervous Nellie!

Hi all...just attended a seminar last night about lapband surgery...sobering and scary. I've made an appointment for a day long consultation in early December. attending weight watchers but not going well. I don't know if I can go through with this or not. What I do know is that there's more to life than what I'm living.

encouragement appreciated.

:help::eek:

HI lizb88, this has been a journey and will continue to be long after I get the surgery, which won't be until april at least. I decided that I, too, want to live life in a different way. WW worked for me to a point and then I hit a brick wall. Its the keeping it off part. And I understand about being scared (although the by-pass scares me a whole lot more!) Just something you have to decide for yourself.

Hey Nellie...LOL

I was banded 8/30 and its not been bad at all. I was a serious impulse eater, ordering pizza at 11 pm and stuff like that. Since getting the band, I have been able to maintain a less than 900 calorie per day meal plan, without having my first fill and am not hungry. If I can do it, I'm sure you can too. The best thing I did was start a liquid diet way prior to my surgery date and started practicing not eating/drinking at the same time..... Good Luck, Dave
