Newbie from Texas

Hello everyone I am LaDonna and new to the board. I found this board and was looking at some of the before and after pics and they are such an inspiration and amazing to look at. I will be banded Oct 24th. Any advice that anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. I have already met with my nutritionist and will met with Dr. and have psych evaluation done on Thursday. I start my pre-op low carb diet tomorrow. I am very excited about this new journey in my life and look forward to be on the loosing side.

Sherri my family and I live in Alvarado and moved from Arlington a little over 2 yrs ago....we wanted to get back to the country and small town. It is very nice to meet you. I look forward to getting to know you and get lots of valuable information before and after my surgery.

Welcome everyone.Start learning how to take small bites and chew things up really well. It is a new way of eating after the band. I really love mine and hope you all will also. Donna

I too am a Newbie from Texas, just south texas about 9 hours south of Arlington, and 4 miles from mexico! lol. Anyways, I hope that you do well on with your band and cant wait to hear how everything goes for you!

:help:Hi ! I'm new at this. I am planning on getting banded in late November this year. I love reading all this from people who are going through the same. Thanks to all. You are keeping my hopes up and giving great advice. Can someone tell me hoe to get one of those tickers put with my name. I never thought I was computer illiterate ,but this confused me.

I know!! I've been trying to put a ticker on mine also but cant figure it out. I asked my children and they could not figure it out either( ha,ha) they think thei r so smart sometimes.

Welcome everyone!! I'm a Texas girl too. I'm from McKinney (North of Dallas). I love my band and I hope y'all will too

Go to www. tickerfactory.com (I'm not creating a link because it keeps changing to something about conceiving :)) to set up a ticker. It walks you through it.

Then just paste it into your signature. You can get to your signature by clicking on UserCP at the top of the page. Hope this helps (took me a while to get it figured out in the beginning) :0)

I am currently going through the process. I have had my psychological evaluation and currently meeting with nutritionist, should be finished around Dec. 2, hopefully able to have surgery around Christmas time. What a wonderful Christmas gift!!

Hi LaDonna! I live in Mansfield and am going to my first seminar tonight! Who is your doctor? I'm going to Dr. Carter's seminar but not sure if he's who I will go to or not. I'm also looking at a doctor in Southlake. I haven't decided for sure about getting a band but am leaning toward YES! I would love to get to know you and the others from our area! Alison
