Are you eating enough? How about walking? Do you still feel bloated from gas?

I feel like I must be eating enough because I feel satisfied. Although, what is satisfied after surgery, right? For sure I am having two meal replacements a day and two snacks as well as one "meal" now. A meal would be what I puree and is on my list of acceptable foods. I feel less bloated. I have not been exercising much because my back still hurts a lot. My back hurts on a regular basis anyway because of back problems but any time I have had abdominal surgery it hurts more because I compensate abdominal muscles using my back muscles. I walk around a lot, though.

Maybe I am eating too much. I am going to keep going doing what I am doing for at least the next week and then reevaluate, probably putting exercise back in.

Weird, huh.

I am so afraid I'm going to fail. I am down 12 pounds since surgery day, 35 overall. But I constantly craving the bad foods. Pizza, cheese, sweets, you name it. I move to stage 2 foods today and I'm hoping that just having something more substantial to eat will help. But I'm terrified that once I can eat other foods I won't be able to stop myself.

Do you have the option of seeing a therapist? Talking to a professional really helped me start to get over my food addiction. Then I read a book called Never Binge Again, and that made all sorts of light bulbs go off for me.

I think we all worry that we are going to fail, so now is the time for us to fix our mindsets, so our sleeves can help us more!

I'm feeling better lately, thanks. I'm down 35 pounds total and am in sort of a stall, but I'm hoping that's ending soon. What are you guys eating during the pureed stage? I go to the next stage on Tuesday, but I'm getting a little bored with cottage cheese, yogurt and cream soups. My nut says no meats in the pureed stage. Anyone having any luck with pureed veggies though? I did try some mashed cauliflower that was great.

My stage 2 plan includes canned meats such as tuna, chicken or ham. Can mix with a small amount of low fat mayo.

That's stage 3 for me. Soon!

Stage three for me is tuna also but I have had some without an issue. I have been eating an egg that's really finely chopped up with the yolk. Scrambled eggs were a no go. Mostly I am eating my shakes and I will eat some baby food but I don't like the bland taste unless I am really hungry. It has to be something low in sugar and that's hard to find in baby food.

Really my dietician recommendation puréed meat like tuna or puréed turkey meat on the 7th day after surgery and then 3 days later told me to go to chopped I haven’t lost a pound since I’m hopeful that will change soon I’m getting so disappointed in myself

Don't be too discouraged. I ended up not losing one pound on pureed. I switched to stage 3 (soft proteins) on Friday, and I've lost a pound a day ever since!
