Carbs

What do you do when you're craving them and it's driving you nuts? I'm on the protein only stage and I'd give anything for a vegetable and some carbs and when I smell other people eating them, it's making me crazy!

So much of this journey is a mental battle. If you know that carbs are something that you shouldn't consume, you just have to have the inner strength to resist them. For me, they would derail everything I have worked so hard for, and no food or drink is worth that to me!

So, my advice is when you get those cravings, consider your goals, take a deep breath, and just say no...

I was just told by my surgeon that you need to match your protein intake to your carb intake. So if you take 60g of one then you take in 60g of the other

I didn't have a Protein only phase either so I can't really offer anything more than encouragement. I'm 5.5 months out now and keep my carbs between 50 and 100 grams a day and it works for me, I hope once the phase passes are you are able to have carbs again in moderation your craving will subside. I've found that when I'm denied something, that is when I crave it most.
