What Should I be Eating 1 year Post Op DS?

Recommended Posts

Hey all... I have been struggling the past 6 months. I am only 1 year post op so that is kind of sad that I have struggled 1/2 of the time, and have only lost about 15 lbs in the past 6 months. Overall I am down almost 120 (1lb away!), so I can Celebrate that success, but I have hit a major plateau and nothing I seem to do will get me past that 195 mark. I only have between 30-40 left to go!! I know I need to get my exercise into a higher gear. My main concern is what should my macros be at 1 year post op. Anyone at my point continuously still losing a good amount of weight, what does your typical day of eating look like? I am still not sure if I should be focusing on low carb, the calories, the fat or what the heck I am supposed to be focused on!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

Low carb is a good idea. <50 gr. per day.

I'd up the liquids & Protein. That's how we lose weight.

Forget looking at calories.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
