Sorry long post.. lol
I started my journey in Jan 2017. I went in for another unfill for my lapband that I've had for 8 years! They asked me if I had considered a revision. I have- but ins didn't cover Bariatric surgeries previously. So- I never checked into it again. They checked for me, and it was covered!!!! Of course, I would have to go through all steps.. so I started my 3 month monitored diet & exercise. Plus psych eval. Then my stuff was submitted in late April. I was busy with work- so I didn't have time to realize how much time has went by. Then realized it's been almost a month. I almost was starting to get frustrated I called ins & they said they haven't even received it. So- today I get a call from the Bariatric center. I got approved!! Mixed emotions big time!! Liquid prep diet starts June 8, PreOp starts June 12, Surgery June 22. Um- it's felt like it was taking forever & now it's happening so fast!
