100 lbs down!

  • Popular Post

I had my gastric bypass surgery this last Jan 16th. I've had some minor startup problems and continue to have episodes where I just can't seem to eat for a few days, but other than that I'm feeling fine and am very happy that I decided to ask for help in my struggle to beat obesity.

I live in the Netherlands so I'm used to measuring my weight in kilograms. Today my scales showed that I had lost 45.7 kg, and then I realized that that actually took me past the 100 lbs lost mark. How awesome! For my surgeon, the surgery will be considered a succes in just another 10 kgs, but personally I would really be happy if i manage to shed another 25 to 30 kgs from now. Seen the rate at which I'm still going, I'm slowly starting to think that that is not entirely unrealistic.

Here's my before and now: IMG_20170517_183408_067.jpg

I'm at the gym 5 times a week for about an hour. That includes 1 bodypump class, and usually 4 times cardio, combined with some weighttraining. To change things up, i also try the occasional kickboxin
