  1. I'm not sure if the crazy period is normal but for the first 8 months after my gastric bypass I had periods from hell too and I would get them every other week and sometimes super plus tampons would slip out the second I put it in. I was hating life. I thought I was going through menopause but dr said no. Now I'm 15 months out and I get my period like normal. As far as the heating pad and laying on your stomach it's safe as long as you can bare it. I wasn't able to sleep on my stomach for the first 3 months after surgery. That's my story goodluck!
  2. Im not sure if your asking me but i can answer. Just make sure to always eat small eat to a comfortable state. Im a little past my 12 months out and i can say some days this is my struggle that my mind just wants to eat more but of course i dont because i dont want to get sick. Drink all your water and vitamins. Try to stay away from sugar as much as you can because it only triggers you to want to have a bite of bad food or deserts i should say. Im sure you hear this all the time but always eat your protein first. Oh and btw ive been lazy not working out only walking and dancing once in a while. So because of not actually doing a more strengthening workout routine im super weak so this year that will be my focus. Hope this helps! Good luck with your journey! living life to the fullest and healthy

  7. Im 6 months post OP I once weighed 325 but when I had surgery I weighed 285. I've lost 105lbs. This is the best decision I've ever made I love everything about my journey minus the flabby skin but who cares I'm healthier now. It's been rough but my mind was set so I just remind myself why I had to do this. living life to the fullest and healthy

  12. I'm 4 weeks out and I can't wait to feel happy perky and energetic like before. Before surgery I never went a day without putting on makeup and making plans for my day from the minute I woke up. Now I just feel sluggish and I still don't have much energy. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I'm not complaining I just can't wait to be able to feel normal again. I know this is all worth it! living life to the fullest and healthy

  18. I can't say those drinks are the best but mine was not that bad. I don't like coconut in anything so I'm I wouldn't like that one in the picture. I also had the no whey liquid Protein it's super sweet and thick most people probably don't like it but it got rid of my headache. living life to the fullest and healthy
  19. I think it depends on what your doctor instructed you to do. I was told to do stage 1 diet until my next appt which is on tuesday. I couldn't do stage 1 so I'm still on the liquid. Today is my 6th day and I added carrot soup. My nutritionist told us in a class it's ok to go back on diets but to never go to the next stage until we were told to do so not so much because it's that bad but because it's easier on our healing stomachs to take it slow. living life to the fullest and healthy

  22. Yes thank you I actually am doing very good can't lie some pain but nothing I can't live with. I do have a nutritionist but I only see her a month after surgery and every 3 months after that. They don't make menus but I'm sure if I email them they'll help me out. Thank you for your feedback very helpful! living life to the fullest and healthy
  23. Hello everyone! Im a single mother of 3 kids 10, 8, and 4 yrs old. I finally hit rock bottom I want to be able to be there for my kids and I realized I can't do it if I continue to live an unhealthy lifestyle so it took a year to finally make my decision but here I am joining the crowd with our journeys. I just had my GB 6 days ago. My start weight was 280 and now I have lost 17lbs. I know I'll get a stall somewhere but I'm going to keep at it. I can't complain about anything after reading so many other stories I think I'm doing good so far besides not being able to take big gulps so I just stayed on liquid diet until I heal more. I'm super happy to have made this decision I can't wait to see my changes and to be able to share that with all of you. living life to the fullest and healthy
