Retaining water?

Hi all!
I'm ~2.5 weeks post opp and feeling like I'm retaining water. Feet and fingers feel swollen and I've stalled for the last three days. Is the swelling/water retention a normal side effect? Any thoughts on how to counter?
Thanks so much!

IV fluids cause it..

Keep yourself hydrated, stick to the post-op diet, and it'll go away. Mine went away after a week but some people retain water longer (especially older people, or those with comorbidities such as heart disease, liver disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, etc.).

Are you doing a lot of broths? Those tend to be high in sodium and can cause fluid retention.

I have broth once a day still as I'm still having a hard time with water. I'll check the sodium counts, I have been switching them up lately. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was going to say you need to drink more. I swell up when not drinking enough.
