Scheduled my surgery!

Yesterday I met with my surgeon and scheduled my surgery. It's been almost 6 months since I've started this journey and now it finally feels real. I've been more anxious and more emotional in the past 12 hours than i thought I would be. I'm afraid I'm not making the right decision. I'm afraid I'm going to lose too much weight and I'll be too thin. Did everyone else have these thoughts and feelings? I guess I just need some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing and everything will be o.k.

I have bounced back and forth about surgery for a long time. I made up my mind a couple of months ago that I was letting fear rule me and from that point on I decided to go forward. I'm still nervous but I won't let it change my mind. My surgery is 5/22 when is yours?

Mine should be that week if not that day.

First of all...congratulations on your upcoming surgery!!! I think your feelings are normal when you receive that call or when the Dr gives you your surgery DATE. I know for me, I was super excited that I finally had a date. You then received a call from the hospital(pre registering) & she tells you about having to go to pre-op, and then BAMMMM, it's a few days away. Yikes, the nerves get running & running, a bit scary too. Actually, the morning of surgery it all became surreal. Coming out of recovery was tough because of the pain, but tolerable as you have a pain med pump. After getting out of the hospital, it didn't seem real, that I actually had my surgery, but the journey has been great so far. Sorry for rambling, but I wish you luck & pray all goes well for you!!!

I just received my surgery date this past week. I also have been questioning myself if I'm doing the right thing. I think it's normal to have this feeling. I also have been working on this through the insurance for 6 months so to finally be close to the finish line is crazy. Wish you the best up luck.

I became super nervous after I rec'd final insurance approval 4/30. Getting sleeved 6/1, I watched many vsg youtube videos and that answered alot of my questions and calmed my nerves [emoji41]
