Curious

So is everyone obligated to see a cardiologist and pulmonologist (if u have sleep apnea) for clearance before surgery even if ur insurance doesn't require it?

I had to see the cardiologist. No pulmonologist although I have sleep apnea.

Even if your insurance doesn't require it, if you're surgeon's requests it, it's something you have to do. There were a few things my insurance didn't require but my surgeon's program did. All depends.

Most bariatric programs have their own requirements, regardless of insurance requirements.
