Stomach pain when I drink

Ok, all I have had is liquids like water, broth, cream soup (strained) etc. I was sleeved March 17th. No major issues as far as I can tell but when I swallow liquids it hurts my stomach. Mostly when its ice cold but a little with all temperatures. I have read that lots of people feel this but what I would like to know is when it stops? Does it even out? Its not an acid feeling but like a sharp stab. Thank you in advance.

Thanks! It feels so weird but it's comforting to know others have gone through it.

I am 8 weeks out and although I never had pain I still feel my stomach so much more than preop. However, even that has lessened in the weeks after surgery.

I know the feeling but at one week post op I feel I'm learning a lot about my stomach, when I drink to much at once or to cold i grt that feeling.

Yes! I could not drink anything cold for about 2 weeks. Kept my premier protein shakes on the counter. I may have been able to tolerate cold sooner but I wasn't taking any chances. Forgot my water one day on a drive to town and sipped my son's cold drink and it went down easy.

Lots of these issues resolve themselves.

Good luck
