Physically hungry or head hunger? Everyone want to chew something after not being able to chew for weeks. Make some jello, or chomp on ice.

What helped me when I was hungry during the liquid diet phase was something that made me feel like I was actually eating & not just drinking. Jello, pudding, yogurt (I'm not a yogurt fan though), & chewing on sugar free popsicles (I put them in small ice cube trays). It's tough, I was so hungry the 3rd week but did want to risk breaking a staple so I didn't cheat.

Height: 5'0"

Weight for WLS consultation: 216 lbs.

Surgery date: 2/13/17

Goal: -71 lbs for healthy BMI (about 145 lbs).

Current weight: 185.2

My profile picture is not me. It's my "FITspiration" body.

There is a reason we can drink 64oz of water, but only eat 6-9oz of solids per day. It is because liquids literally pass right through the stomach and into the intestines. Since everything you are eating is liquid it does not surprise me in the least that you are hungry still. I literally had a pint of broth at one point two weeks after surgery, but am lucky to get 2-3oz of solid food in at a meal. Be patient, once you can start eating solids this issue should subside.

Liquid move quick through the stomach. I was able to eat alot of soup too. You can always at unflavored protein powder to add to your soup if your tried of protein shakes.
