Hi all! I'm 10 days post RNY, and learned yesterday that I accidently tore a suture through coughing and/or sneezing. The pain is almost surreal at times. The surgeon advised to take a muscle relaxer, use a heating pad, and just rest as much as possible. Supposedly, the pain should subside in a couple weeks. He didn't seem overly concerned, and shared this is "normal." Has anyone else experienced this painful situation?

Not sure what I did but I have a lot of pain in my stomach and back when walking but it's fine if I sit down. Dr said I should be fine also.
