March 14, 20179 yr I am scheduled to get gastric sleeve in April in Mexico and my husband can't get a passport so I am going without a companion. I am a little scared and nervous. Has anyone else done this alone?

If you physically go to State Department office which are far and few between you'd stay a better chance. Even with rush processing it would be cutting it really close depending on when in April the surgery is. You'll have to pay the extra processing/shipping fees but it may yet be possible.
March 14, 20179 yr Author I will have a passport but my husband can't. So I will be doing this alone which makes me a little scared to be alone. But, I am doing this!
March 14, 20179 yr I can only speak about my Experience with BariatricPal but two other women had the surgery the same day I had mine and the did not have a companion. Both women had no problems and enjoyed their selves especially on the two days at the Hotel and shopping. March 14, 20179 yr My friend went alone and had a great experience... I'll be going alone in May and I am not nervous at all from her experience and others I've read on here and instagram and watched on YouTube

I am a little scared and nervous. Has anyone else done this alone? I just ordered two passports last month and they came in three weeks and that wasn't even with their rushed service. If you order this week, and pay an additional $60 for having it rushed, you should have it within 2 weeks.

He has work commitments he just can't get out of and that's ok. I hate inconveniencing people, but I don't think the University of Chicago will let me have the surgery alone. I'm so glad it's working out for you...big hugs!!!

Has anyone else done this alone? When in April are you going and what clinic? I'm also planning for April but can't decide between Mexican Bariatric or Alo Bariatric.
March 17, 20179 yr Author Keep me posted how it goes. I am scheduled April 10th with Dr. Illan in Mexico. I know 2 people here in my rural town that went to him 6 months ago and have no regrets. Jennifer
March 18, 20179 yr I decided on Alo clinic. I'm scheduled for April 8th! Hope my passport comes soon enough! I'm likely traveling alone. I've heard from so many people that they did fine traveling solo. My flight will only be a couple hours thankfully.
