  6. Typical NYC hospital that works like a slaughterhouse. You're just a number. I had to wait in recovery like 10 hours because there was no bed available :-( SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17
  7. I also had my surgery in Mount Sinai. It's a chicken factory, but the doctor was great. Had Dr. Jacob. SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17
  8. Here I am. It's now really slow 1-2 Lbs. per week, but I look and feel GREAT! SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17
  9. I tried doing it on my own, but the issue comes with the stalls where you get depressed and you lose faith. With WLS surgery nothing will help you being depressed when you get stalled, you just can't eat, so after a couple weeks you start losing again. Or like now I'm losing 1-2 pounds per week, I would be very upset if I'm holding back food and I see only 1-2 lbs. coming off. With WLS you can be upset as a many times as you like, it won't help you. You just can't eat.... SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17
  10. Twice weekly with a mix of cardio, yoga for 1 hour each. SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17
  11. Don't give up, it's a long journey but VERY well worth it. Welcome to the right place where everybody supports each other. SW:305 CW:212 Sleeved 01.30.17

No worries. I started eating popcorn at 6 weeks. The only issue is that it slides down easily. SW:305 CW:214 Sleeved 01.30.17
  15. I eat 1300-1500 calories per day and I lose in average 1-2 Lbs. per week. I am happy with the results. I'm also working out twice per week for one hour each. SW:305 CW:214 Sleeved 01.30.17
  16. You need to think to yourself worse case scenario, you may lose just a little bit, better than nothing. We all had this thought that maybe we will be an exception to the rule, but the rule is simple...Eat less and you'll be thin. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  17. Glad you brought this up. I started changing my believe system after following Dr. Schulze, got my thyroid healed, and my blood work is normal since then. I'm not religious with it, but I at least know what's good and bad and try to stick to it during the week. It's the cattle and chicken industry that made this whole craze of protein, protein, protein. My rule of thumb is. If there is not enough supply of something and you need to give it hormones or chemicals to grow to fulfill supply it's wrong. Fruits and vegetables are available without doing anything. Just put in the seeds and it will grow. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  18. Everybody on this board (or most) are pro surgery. We all know very well how big this hill is. Just go for it, it's the best thing I ever did to myself. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  19. Just don't add oil, just add water and salt and you'll have no calorie issues. I love popcorn and I don't see the problem with ig. It's just the oil that has more than 100 calories in a single table spoon. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  20. Congrats! How tall are you? I started with similar stats. Also, how long post op are you? SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  21. 30 BMI and a 40" pants. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  22. I would say it took me about 6 weeks to be back to my norm. Hang in there, it will be great. SW:305 CW:217 Sleeved 01.30.17
  23. I agree with your thinking, I strongly suggest doing it now. I would love if my only uphill was 50 lbs. instead of 120 lbs. SW:305 CW:219 Sleeved 01.30.17
  24. Agree. Ignore the numbers. See how you feel. SW:305 CW:219 Sleeved 01.30.17
  25. It's normal to do it in the beginning when every lbs. makes a difference. SW:305 CW:219 Sleeved 01.30.17
