Pain on left

Im 6 days post op and still have a lot of pain on the left side. I hurt when I stand, when I sit, turn or move in a number of ways. Ive been trying to decrease the use of the pain meds but Ive only been able to go 7-8 hours between doses. Is that normal?

Is that where your main incision is? I'm 9 days post op and only started walking upright without holding onto my tummy 2 or 3 days ago. Still have some pain, but am only taking liquid Tylenol 1 time a day if at all.

I couldn't even get myself into and out of bed for 2 weeks. lol! And that was while I was on a steady dose of vicodin.

I believe it is. Ok. I was beginning to worry a little. I keep reading about people doing normal things in the first week. :-)

I experienced the same pain and described it as the feeling you got as a kid when you ran hard and got winded and my parents called it a "stitch in your side". On my 2
Week followup I asked
About it. Doc said that they stitched my new tummy to a muscle and what I was feeling was the tug on the muscle, not my stomach.
