  7. Hello! I was sleeved 2/21. First day of puréed food today. Yay!
  8. I think it's head hunger. You know you can't eat so you really want to!
  9. When the nurse took me back for surgery prep, I told her and she gave me a pad and disposable panties. I wouldn't bother asking your surgeon about it.
  10. Yes you are making the right decision! It may make you sick for a while but it will be worth it! You will most likely eventually be able to eat almost anything but be careful of the slippery slope. Your kids will thank you! My first grandbaby is 2 months old and I want to be here to see him graduate! [emoji2]
  11. Eggface's blog is awesome! Check out her "bites". I'm still on liquids until Monday but will definitely be trying out some of her recipes soon!
  12. joannrmn, I am so sorry you are having such a rough time! I'm only 10 days post op so I can't say it will get better from experience, but I truly believe it will get better for you. Eventually you will definitely be able to eat more normally. I really think you should find a therapist to talk with. I think talking to someone in person will be a huge help for you! Reach out to the place where you had surgery. Ask to meet with the psychologist. Above all, hang in there!

  14. Is that where your main incision is? I'm 9 days post op and only started walking upright without holding onto my tummy 2 or 3 days ago. Still have some pain, but am only taking liquid Tylenol 1 time a day if at all.
  15. Good luck to you all. I'm 9 days post op. [emoji2]
  16. Today is my first day back at work. Surgery was a week ago Tuesday. (Feb 21st). My job is mostly sitting. I've been here 6 hours and I'm ready to go home. Kind of tired and a little sore. It varies by person and job. [emoji2]
  17. The best advice I can give is time. I had surgery a week ago Tuesday and the sore throats will go away eventually. Probably you won't even notice when it does!
  18. Hope you made it home and are doing well! [emoji2]

  20. Try getting into bed to lay on your stomach. Rolling over really hurt but once I am on my stomach I slept really well. Sleeved on 2/21
