1 Week Post Sleeve- Hungry, Hungry, Hungry

Hi Everyone, I'm new to BP. Had Gastric Sleeve on 2/15 with easy recovery but I am so hungry all the time. Drinking 2-3 Premier shakes a day....supplement with broth, tea, soup in between.....taking Prilosec as ordered. Very discouraged that I'm so hungry all the time. Anyone else with this or have an idea of what is going on?

I think it's head hunger. You know you can't eat so you really want to!

The pangs you are feeling probably are not hunger pains. I'm 1 week post-op and from the day I came home, I experienced same and was so discouraged. I read some forums and found that others whi had the same problem resolved it very simply with liquid Gaviscon, an antacid. I tried it and... instant relief! So, it's acid rumbling around in your stomach, not hunger!! I hope this works as well for you
