Excercise post vsg

I am 8 days out from surgery and do quite a bit of walking throughout the day and wanna start doing more. Any other excerslcise you guys have done thats safe only a week out?? Are squats ok? Surgeon never told me whats ok just to walk alot, figuring we'd be discussing at next weeks appointment. TIA ?

Do anything that won't put pressure on your abs (squats may strain your abs and increase abdominal pressure which strains the sutures and your healing stomach). Those muscles will be sore for weeks.

Just walking. You can increase your speed, but stick with that until your surgeon gives you other instructions.
