Dermatitis, post surgery?

2 weeks and 6 pounds less- post surgery, I'm eating solids, but still sticking with premier protein for breakfast and lunch most work days, consuming 1x Centrum multivitamin daily... I seem to have an adverse effect, severe dermatitis... Small bumpy welts where my bandages were and now spreading to all softer skin, including around my lower stomach, chest and arms.

Anyone else have this issue? I'm reaching out to my surgeon, as I'm concerned if I have an autoimmune issue.

I've never been allergic to anything.

Surgeon A.S.A.P. sounds like an allergic reaction. Only your surgeon can tell you for sure. When I had gallbladder out 2 yrs ago I broke out in a rash around every insicion. I was allergic to the surgical tape. The doc gave me something for it. Surgeon used different tape for Sleeve surgery. 5 days out and no signs of any problems yet.

I have had reactions to the tape also rashes and I have to keep pulling a small bit of the tape. When I shower it's so itchy. Only 4 more days before they come off YESssssss

Could be yeast... since its spreading it sounds like a likely possibility. However i am not in the medical field so its just speculation since I have heard of this happening to another lady. Check with your doctor. Or you could try an antifungal on areas away from your incisions, thats what i would do anyway. Again im not a doctor lol
