Yes, another hair loss question!

I know there have been countless questions about hair loss, and I've searched and read through a lot of the posts, but my question is a little bit different ...

My hair is short and medium brown, and it is falling out! I wanted to grow it out, but it didn't happen before the hair loss started.

What I want is tips and stories about how others have dealt with the hair loss. Wigs? Extensions? What did you do to just deal with it emotionally and while it is happening? I know there's not really a way to prevent it once it starts, I just need to cope with it without locking myself in my house and never going out where people will see me. I've finally lost weight and feel good and confident enough to go out, and now my hair is thinning and i feel like people are already staring at me!

I had surgery October 17.

I got a new haircut and lightened the hair ( that way the contrast between the hair color and the scalp was not as prominent. I live in florida which is very hot so was concerned on the wigs and them breaking my hair off. I have heard that wigs and hats can do that. mostly I just lived thro it. only lasted a few months and since my hair was thin and fine before the surgery not many people actually noticed it. I was the one wigged ( excuse the pun) good luck to you

I lost quite a lot of my thick hair. No one noticed, mostly my family. What's annoying now as its growing back in is I look like I stuck my finger in an electric socket- think static electricity. I have all this squiggly short hair sticking out all over my head. My hair is not usually frizzy. I hope I'm describing it okay so you get the visual.
