Omg yes, when i got home i was dying lol. It hurt just to get in and out of bed, not to mention standing up felt like my stomach was stretching painfully. Im a week post up and i feel completely fine. One thing that definitely helped was obviously my pain meds and a hot and cold pad on the affected area. It's likely you're feeling lots of pain because you're not on the hospital drugs anymore LOL. Hope you feel better soon.

I am scheduled for next week and curious, I understand the pain meds cause constipation. Is it better to get off the meds sooner to avoid this and just bite the bullet on pain using Tylenol and heat pads?

Yes, the first 4 days after surgery were very painful, especially day 4. After that, things started to improve.

I wish you a speedy recovery!

Everyone is different. I was barely sore and never took pain meds. Not even in the hospital.
