  1. Yes i do journal a lot, i love writing about my journey because i feel so much better afterwards. I even wrote letters to my self ( I know it sounds weird ) to read after i hit specific milestones. I read two of them so far, one was the night before surgery and the other was the day after and that was a really good outlet for me and my emotions. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  2. Omg yes, when i got home i was dying lol. It hurt just to get in and out of bed, not to mention standing up felt like my stomach was stretching painfully. Im a week post up and i feel completely fine. One thing that definitely helped was obviously my pain meds and a hot and cold pad on the affected area. It's likely you're feeling lots of pain because you're not on the hospital drugs anymore LOL. Hope you feel better soon. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  3. No problem! Hope to hear from you again to see how your doing on your journey. Good Luck! ~ Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had to deal with a similar issue last night. My dad ordered 3 different medium Dominos pizzas ( 2 of them were my favorite of course lol) I was initially upset because he knows I just got my surgery a week ago. I stayed away from it and had my tuna instead, as i thought about it i came to the conclusion that obviously I can't change the way other people eat and it wouldn't be fair to tell them they can't eat the Foods they normally eat because I want them. I had to think about it and say to myself is this slice of pizza really worth my health and happiness?. Dont worry about it! Remember why you did this, Your going to do great! 6. Honestly i think it really depends on your insurance. My insurance required 4 months of consecutive weigh-ins , however for me i wasn't even required to really loss weight at all. Of course i did loss weight, but i could have gained 5lbs and they still would have approved me. Lol Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  7. Just one night i went home at 2pm the next day. It would have been 12pm but after you do the leak test in radiology they give you liquids, you have to drink at least 6oz before you go home and i could only get 3 down at the time. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  8. Don't be nervous! You'll be just fine. Im 6 days post op and before i had my sleeve done i have never had to go to the hospital for anything in my life. No previous surgery, No Broken bones. So you can imagine how i felt the day before surgery ????. Just think aboit how much better your going to feel later after you start losing weight!! Good luck and god bless!!???? 9. Yes, my surgeon said it was fine, i had gum during pre op. My liver was "near perfect" according to him. You just can't have it after midnight the day before surgery, or the day of surgery due to the saliva that builds up. They'll cancel your surgery for that. Hope that helps Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  10. Yes This will be the best summer ever!! Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  11. Honestly its different for everyone. I know some one who had no pain at all post op. I just had my sleeve done the 25th and i experienced some really bad pain at one of my incisions sites, although everyday the pain lessens a bit which is another reason to walk as much as possible to help elevate the pain. It is normal to have pain though , im only 4 days post op and my pain is pretty minimal now. Im only having some sore muscles near one of my incisions which isn't that bad anymore. I hope this helped out a bit. ???? Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App

  16. Me too! My swelling is so bad! I went in the hospital at 239. And came out of the hospital at 251. Thats how much fluids and swelling I had. I hope it goes away soon for for the both of us. Misty Yeah same here, im just trying to get as much fluids in as i can. For me room temp liquid goes down a little easier, ill have to try hotter liquid that might help the swelling go down faster.
