Night hunger

How do you fight the hunger at night? I'm only a week out so maybe it gets easier but I've found myself being awake half the night with intense pain in my stomach from hunger... I try to ignore it but it's just keeping me awake. Do I really need to plan to wake up in the middle of the night to have a bit of a Protein shake? I'm so exhausted, I just want to sleep through the night! I've read a lot of posts about people second guessing their decision in the first few weeks post op and I'm definitely right there... I am so miserable.

  • He prescribed me prilosec but I can't take it... I've thrown up from trying to take the crushed pills. I wonder if the meds can be given to me in a liquid form. I'll have to check. Sent from my iP

I bet it is too much acid. Talk to your doc about it!

That is what my reflux felt like. I started a medication for it and I have been fine ever since. Call your surgeons office and talk to someone who can help you. Good luck.
