1 piece chicken = 1 protein shake

Im 11 days post op sleeve n so bored with Protein shakes. Im on mushy food diet 4 days now n cried today because i wanted a real meal so bad.

So on to google i went n thank u Jesus chicken is 30g protein.

Chicken Soup 4 me / 1 less shake.

Figured i'd share, may help some1 ...

"A 4-ounce roasted chicken breast gives you more than 35 grams of protein. If you're more of a thigh meat fan, 4 ounces of cooked thigh meat offer nearly 30 grams of protein. Even the drumsticks add lots of protein to your recipe. Four ounces of drumstick meat contain 32 grams of protein."

I pureed 2 thighs, which was about 8 ounces, into the soup with some carrot, squash, garlic, cilantro, salt n pepper. It made 4 servings n was delish. The soup being pureed i can tolerate a bigger portion. Guilty of eating the 4ounces in 2 meals but anything slightly firmer, like eggs etc.. def im with you back to 2 ounces or less. Slowly working my way back. Im going to try tuna tomm. Did you just eat it plain or with saltines or something. Would love a tuna melt.
