Preop Anemia!

They just told me I'm anemic and started me in supplements. I am so bummed because I just got approved by insurance Friday. They said anesthesia won't put me under til my levels are normal. Does anyone know how long it could take I've never been anemic before!!!!!

    Depends how anemic you are...could take several months. Hang in there....you will make it to surgery. You need to be healthy as possible for your recovery. I wish you the best!

    Early on, I had to get bloodwork done, and they found i was had low Iron, and low in Vitamin D3 so i have been onthe vitiamins every since. Nect is the 2nd, and last consult with the surgeon.
