I am 5 months post-op and still have pain when I cough or sneeze? I also have pain when getting out of bed. I must say that I have not done a lot of ab work. Did anyone else have pain for this long?

I still have the same (under 2 months post op) but not as bad as first. Surgeon said it is normal. It still makes me very nervous when I feel a sneeze coming on and I am overy cautious when getting into or out of bed. My physician at work said it could be some scarring / healing of internal stiching, and to not to baby it too much. But I still feel your pain :-)

No, I'd say at 5 months, i "feel" 100% healed. I haven't really recalled coughing, but I do sneeze now and then and have never had an issues.

Did you have this kind of pain since day one or did it start a little later?

I spoke too soon. Last night, getting into bed, I got a burning feeling on the lower right side of my belly. Sneezed this morning and there it was again. Even though the surgeon kind of blew it off, I still would like to know what it is.

I did have this pain from the beginning, it just hasn't gotten better.
