Please help..

I'm 3 months post op. I have contracted a virus from my sister and this is my 3rd day but my 1st day of really being bed ridden. Water is even making me so sick to my stomach. I've barely gotten any water or food in, much less Protein, for 3 days. Do I need to go to the hospital for fluids or ride it out?

Thanks for any info or suggestions!

Call your surgeon's office. They can give you medical advice that we can't give you as strangers in a forum.

Call your surgeon.

Same thing happened to me last week. I'm five weeks out and have had a really hard time taking in liquids. I emailed my surgeon's office, and he actually called me to get details of my symptoms, etc. He prescribed me a steroid because apparently your stomach and intestines can become inflamed. I'm on the second day of the meds and I actually feel a lot better.

Also, he said IV infusion should be a last resort but we'd do it if necessary.
