If we didn't have change....we wouldn't have butterflies!

This was something my grandfather use to say to me growing up. I keep reminding myself this when I start to become scared about having the surgery.

I am still waiting to hear back from my surgeons office on what surgery would be best for me to have (Bypass or Sleeve) considering some medicines that I have to take. Then reading some post about the pain and suffering from having one or the other during recovery.

But I always fall to sleep at night thinking about the transformation of the butterfly. Then I realize that I'm ready to shed this cocoon and live a healthy and full life.

Both of my grandmothers lived to see 90! One past away at 92 and the other is still bossing us all around at 94! We buried a great uncle last month and he was 101!!

So I'm prone to have a long life but I also want to live it and not just exists in it.
