Curiosity about pre-op class and testing...

I have been approved for DS surgery that is currently scheduled for January 17th. I have my preop class this Tuesday and my preop testing on January 3rd. Can anyone share their experiences on what they went through for either of those days? I was told to plan for 2 hours for the class and 1 hour for the testing. I know every hospital is different, just looking for general information. Thanks in advance!!!

Our class was long that day. You have to learn how to eat during your pre-op diet and directly after surgery. They will probably also go over what to expect in the hospital, and after surgery. It was super informative!

The preop testing wasn't bad. Mine only took an hour. I had some blood work and an EKG and they asked a lot of questions and that was it! Good luck!

My pre-op testing was an EKG, blood work, and a GI test where I swallowed some goo and they took x-rays while it went down. Some people have other testing, like a chest x-ray or a scope down the throat. You will have to ask since different surgeons do different tests.
