Sick and Bored

Apparently, Mrs LittleBill played the part of Typhoid Mary yesterday. That is what my research indicates. Today started off well enough. I was getting some work done prior to leaving for the gym, when suddenly all my internal organs decided to rebel in one way or another. I am talking about my digestive tract. For the first time since I was in the hospital, my stomach got very queasy. Further down, on the alimentary canal, traffic got all out of sorts. Then I started feeling lightheaded, with my eyes burning.

I sat down at my desk and reviewed my eating/drinking activity for the day, thinking I might have activated the dreaded dumping syndrome. I don't even know if I can do that with a sleeve, although there have been many fingers wagged, along with baleful glares and stern warnings at the dotor's office. I didn't do anything that would have caused that.

I messaged Mrs LittleBill, telling her I was not feeling great, or even good, and especially not well. It was then that she revealed to me that the yesterday, she had had similar symptoms. So at least it was not self inflicted. Now I am sitting here at home feeling poorly, and there isn't much to do. I've plowed through as much new content as I can stand, caught up with all my friends on Facebook, and that's about all I'm up for. I don't even have any comfort food around, and if I did, I probably wouldn't mention it here. Who knows who might swoop in to remonstrate me? :o Kick a man when he's down? Not me! ;-) I don't think I'll expire from this, but if no one ever hears from me again...

What do you all do when you are down and sick?

I've got chronic conditions, so I'm an expert in being a sickie. I can lie for hours on the couch with my electric blanket bingeing Netflix or reading novels. I used to binge eat at the same time, b

  • Thanks, @@reree6898! I am sitting here with the dog and trying to figure out how to get my pictures onto Instagram. I am pretty sure I will survive.

Here's my dead animal picture that I took my very own self. I was taking a student to lunch at a local diner and we passed this guy on the way. We stopped to take his picture on the way home. While I was taking it, the painting crew came by. They had no smiles for me. They probably thought I was going to turn them in. The caption reads, "Mr Skunk may be dead and gone, but he is sporting a fresh new stripe."

Oh my goodness! That is absolutely hilarious.

Sounds like you had what I had 2 weeks ago. I woke up around 7:30 a.m. feeling pain in my lower back, so I decided to take something for the pain. I just figured it was from sleeping in a bad position, until I started feeling sick to my stomach. I thought I was going to puke, but instead, the nausea quickly turned into lower abdominal cramps. Whatever it was, it decided to change course. I was on the toilet for about 10 minutes, until I felt a little better. I went back to bed and didn't wake up until 4:30 p.m.! I thought, "What in the world... Did I go into a coma?!"

Well, once I was fully awake, I noticed that I felt HORRIBLE. I had body aches that were horrendous, I felt extremely weak, and I felt like I had been asleep for years. I stood up and my stomach started hurting again; this time it was much worse. I figured I was just hungry, so I decided to walk into the kitchen and get a Protein shake. As I was walking, out of nowhere, I heard ringing in my ears and my hearing dulled; it was like everything was a mile away. I also felt very lightheaded and thought I was about to faint. I quickly took a sip of my Protein Shake and sat down on the couch. If someone had told me I was dying, I would have believed them. I was on the couch waiting to collapse. The lightheadedness finally faded, but my lower abdomen began rumbling again. So I went to the bathroom and I experienced the same event as earlier that morning. I was worried that I did something to myself since I hadn't eaten all day. I went to the doctor and told them my symptoms. They said it was some kind of viral infection.

When I got home, I was in so much pain all over my body. It felt as if I'd been beaten. My mom insisted that I was faking my illness, because she thought I was trying to have an excuse to not help her put up the Christmas tree. I helped her as much as I could, but the aches were just so awful. After about 2 hours of being back home, I took a Tylenol extra strength and went to bed. When I woke up the next day, the body aches were gone. I still felt weak and I was still going to the bathroom after I drank or ate anything. I was able to go watch the Alabama vs. Florida football game at my aunt's house, though. But the day after that, my mom got sick. She actually apologized for not believing me, lol. She had the exact same symptoms and stayed in bed all day. Two days later, her boyfriend got sick with the exact same thing. When I came back to work, I found out 3 other people had it. It was like a violent plague going around.

I hope you feel better soon!

As long as you don't write again later on to tell us you are pregnant. :o Thank you though, and I am better. I actually made it to the gym today, and did not pass out or soil my garments. I consider that a success. I had some serious adventures today. I have some chores to do first, but I feel a story brewing. ;-)

Hope you feel better. I usually sleep and watch tv

Haha, there's absolutely no chance of pregnancy. Congrats on getting to the gym! Can't wait for an update. :)
